DBA 01:15 PM - 02:15 PM

Oracle Data Pump is mainly used by DBAs for a straight copy of a table or schema or whole database for ages. Most are familiar with a few parameters such as CONTENT, INCLUDE & EXCLUDE. In Oracle Database 12.2, do you know expdp has 48 command line parameters and impdp has 55 command line parameters? Imagine the power of data pump with all these parameters and their options. In this session, you will learn various scenarios of using data pump to copy metadata or data or a subset of data. If you are a developer, you can also use data pump, though the export dump file is saved on the database server! Oracle client tools or SQL Developer can be used to invoke Data Pump - no need to bother DBA. Learn the commands to meet the unique data and metadata copy requirements that you thought never possible using Data Pump.
